School Safety: Five High Liability Issues for Public Schools

On Thursday, March 18, 2010, The TASA Group Inc., in conjunction with school security experts Andy Demidont and Jack Stollsteimer, presented a critical webinar for attorneys and administrators involved with public schools. About the Experts:

Andy Demidont is retired from the public education system after more than 35 years of service. During Mr. Demidont’s tenure in public education, he held various positions, such as assistant principal, high school principal and superintendent. He also taught graduate education courses for Mansfield University. Mr. Demidont has been nominated to serve on a statewide task force on restructuring of education in Pennsylvania. He is also the recipient of numerous state and national recognition awards.

Jack Stollsteimer was appointed by Governor Edward G. Rendell to supervise an agency staff empowered by law to monitor the school districts' reporting of incidents of violence to the state, to offer assistance to victims of school violence, and to recommend remedial legislation and school district administrative reforms to promote safe schools.

Mr. Stollsteimer has also served as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and an Assistant District Attorney in Delaware County.
