The Proper Safety Zones for Sporting/Recreational Venues

On July 21, 2011, at 2 p.m. ET, The TASA Group, Inc., in conjunction with expert witness Tom Bowler, presented a free, interactive, one-hour webinar, The Proper Safety Zones for Sporting/Recreational Venues, for all legal professionals.

During this one-hour event, the following topics were discussed:

  • What is a standard within the recreational field?
  • Standards & standard of care for sporting/recreational venues
  • Standard entities to be cited: ASTM, CPSC, NFHS, NSCA, ACSM & AAHPERD
  • Buffer/safety zones for field sports
  • Buffer/safety zones for indoor courts
  • Buffer/safety zones for teaching physical education
  • Buffer safety zones for treadmills in health/fitness centers
  • Buffer safety zones for bikes and stair machines in health/fitness centers
