There are many qualities which lie in the make-up of an upstanding, influential professional. One quality that should not be overlooked is integrity.

"Integrity is doing the right thing even when no one is watching." ~C.S. Lewis

You may have heard the quote before which was said by C.S. Lewis: "Integrity is doing the right thing even when no one is watching." People that act with integrity do not seek praise or glory for their actions, or to be raised up on a pedestal. This praise is not the motivating factor of everything they do; they simply do the things that they do because it is right for the business or receiving party. Integrity removes the self-serving aspect of any act and focuses on doing the act itself. Remaining humble and not needing a round of applause for every act is admirable and a sign of a strong leader. One that needs praise in order to proceed is a sign of weakness or of being unsure, which is not an admirable trait of a leader.
