Will Litigation Solve Reputation Damage?

Litigation seems to be the answer in many situations. However, matters of reputation damage are not solved by litigation alone; the matter is much more complicated. Litigation attempts to address cost of damage and justice by placing a dollar amount on the damage. Even though money may successfully be won in a case of defamation, that does not mean that the damage has been reversed. Reputation damage extends far beyond the reach of the law and the stains will remain even after the case has made it's way through court.
