Description: Served 28 yrs as a police officer, investigating hundreds of traffic crashes, including many involving bicycles and peds. Involved in bicycle education of children and adults since 1980. Certified as an Instructor-Trainer for the International Police Mountain Bike Assn. Helped create and teach the NHTSA sponsored program Bicycle and Pedestrian Safety and Accommodation Course. Have written on bicycle crash investigation and considerations for national publications.
