Student Safety Door to Door, Part II

On Tuesday, February 26, 2013, at 2 p.m. ET, The TASA Group, Inc., in conjunction with transportation and traffic engineering expert Carl Berkowitz, presented a free, one hour, interactive webinar on the nation’s most important safety topic, Student Safety Door to Door, Part II, for all legal professionals.

For more than 20 million youngsters, each day begins and ends with a trip on a bus. In addition, 10 percent of all K to 8th graders walk or bicycle to and from school, while others are driven. The greatest risks to students occur not only while riding the bus, but also while walking to and from school and walking to and from the school bus or auto drop off. The purpose of this program is to provide an overview of student safety while they are being transported to and from school.

During the webinar, the presenter discussed creating a safe student travel environment. The key topics covered included:

  4. Driver conditions
  5. Safe school premises
  6. Supervision
