"The Independent Medical Examination" Article

TASA ID:

TASA publishes articles from knowledgeable experts of various expertise. We recently published an article by an expert entitled "The Independent Medical Examination: When is Enough, Enough?" This article was authored by a TASA expert and can be requested.

This article addresses a prevalent issue: whether to continue future treatment after an accident or injury. A patient sometimes needs advice as to whether to continue getting stronger at home unassisted, or at a facility or with assistance. The author limits the answer down to three items: Symptoms, Signs, and Improvement. A quote from the article states, "When there is real progress being made, and a full professional program of treatment and rehabilitation is present, more treatment is warranted." He continues, "Otherwise, if treatment is not corrective in nature, then I will say that 'enough is enough!'" To read more of this article, click here.
